2010-01-04 - ... Digia Finland Oy, Senior Software Developer

I am currently working in various ITSM projects with various customers. My job is to design and implement ITIL compliant service support systems using CA Service Desk and related products. Depending on case I work in multiple roles from consultant and and instructor to Java and Perl programmer. I communicate directly with suppliers and customers and work in a virtual teams making it essential to have good communication and social skills. Data security and quality is top priority in many projects and security clearance by Finnish Security Intelligence Service is almost always required.

2006-02-16 - 2010-01-03 Enfo Oyj, Systems Designer

I worked with CA Service Desk and related CA's products in internal Service Desk related projects. I was responsible of planning, implementing and administrating various computer and software systems. I worked with HR and management creating software for hour entering and reporting purposes. I constantly had to create ad-hoc solutions using programming languages like Perl, Java and C#. I did resign because I felt I could my push my skills further with my forthcoming employer.

2001 - 2006 Enfo Oyj, Systems Designer Trainee

I did contract jobs worth of 16 (net) months while studying. I did among other things design and implement software which was responsible for transferring electronic invoices and other confidential electronic material between companies and banks.

2001 - 2006 Mainostoimisto www.vendo Ky, Software Developer

I did contract jobs approximately worth of 8 months (net) while studying. I was responsible for the company's network, servers, workstations and did design and implement various WWW-based services.

I did telemarketing job for 4 months until I enrolled to The University of Kuopio.

Work Morale

I am proud of my work morale. While I may not always enjoy working, I will deliver what I promise even if it will take more effort than originally was planned. When I started my studies, I chose not to finance my life with loan but instead I sought contract jobs and got many. Year after year I have been trusted by the same employers which should tell something about my trustworthiness.

Interests

I keep myself fit by training Karate and playing badminton. On summers I enjoy to roller skate and on winter I may occasionally go downhill skiing. I am interested in electronics, and audio and video reproduction. I enjoy spending time with my friends perhaps watching movies rather than being alone. I enjoy travelling and want to see distant lands and cultures.

Goals

Whatever I do, I want to do it professionally. I always want to be one of the leading experts in my area of expertise. That makes me wanting to learn, not because I am forced to but because I love to. I am currently expert in service support operations especially with CA's products, but I am always willing to consider taking another direction. I.e. I am currently very interested in Android platform and open for suggestions regarding. I am also open for opportunities to live and work abroad - actually that is something I desire.
